CURS SQUASH

In case you haven’t managed to find us at the CUSU Soceities Fair, do
not worry. There is still plenty of opportunity to find out about our
society by meeting our committee and other members over some drinks and
snacks. We are also extending our invitation to all existing members,
who would like to meet up with their friends from CURS after the long
summer breaks. Last year, 50+ people dropped in for our Squash. This
year we aim to maintain and hopefully to surpass that set standard.

So please do come to meet a multitude of remarkable and friendly people
from many places around the world to share the Russian culture and
become part of the spirit.

WHERE: LATIMER ROOM, CLARE COLLEGE OLD COURT, TRINITY LANE
WHEN: 2PM until 5PM, SATURDAY 11th OCTOBER
PLEASE TRY TO ARRIVE FOR 2PM
THE PRESIDENT WILL INTRODUCE THE COMMITTEE AT ABOUT 2:30PM

MEMBERSHIP: WE WILL BE OFFERING MEMBERSHIP AT LOWERED RATES
5 pounds for a year (7 pounds usually)
10 pounds for life (14 pounds usually)

To find the Latimer room, enter Clare College from trinity lane main
gate, walk to the middle of the quad and turn left. Walk through a set
of old wooden doors and Latimer room is on your immediate left. A
friendly committee member will greet you. To help you find your way we
may put a sign up, so look out for it.

PLEASE NOTE: Clare college normally charges tourists for entry. Do not
be put off by the porter in the hut at the gate. If you are
a university member, then please flash you university card.
If you do not have a university card, please tell the
porter that you are going to the Latimer Room for a meeting
We will notify them of our event.

DO NOT mention the word “SQUASH” to the porters, they
will not like it!!! Some other societies have rather loud
and messy squashes and to the porters the word means
trouble. Use the word “MEETING” instead.
